Champion a New Member

Championing is a public act of trust. A Champion tells the membership why a cohort graduate / apprentice is ready, helps surface questions, and sponsors the onchain membership proposal.

Two Different Vouches

  1. Cohort approval — a cohort host gives a thumbs-up to the participant’s Demo Day work and confirms graduation.
  2. Membership Champion — a different current member vouches for full membership after seeing the graduate contribute and live the Guild’s values.

Keeping these decisions separate gives the wider membership evidence beyond a single cohort experience.

How to Champion Someone

  1. Know their work. Be able to speak concretely about their contribution to a Raid, RIP, or other Guild activity.
  2. Discuss expectations. Confirm that the candidate understands governance, the 500 wxDAI / 100 share membership package, and the difference between DAO membership and LLC payroll registration.
  3. Announce the relationship at Raider Roundtable. Explain why you are willing to Champion the candidate and invite questions from members.
  4. Socialize the proposal. Give members enough time and context to evaluate the candidate before the onchain vote.
  5. Sponsor the membership proposal. Help the candidate prepare an accurate proposal and follow it through processing.
  6. Stay available. Championing is an ongoing relationship, not a transaction receipt.
Review note · Confirm the package

The August 2026 audit confirmed a 500 wxDAI contribution for a new-member cap of 100 shares. Verify current DAO settings before the proposal is submitted.
